Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) is produced by copolymerizing ethylene with alpha-olefins such as butene-1, hexene-1 or octene-1 under low pressure. Its short, uniform branches give LLDPE much higher tensile strength, puncture resistance and tear resistance than LDPE at the same density, making it the first choice for stretch film, heavy duty packaging and agricultural film.
